You can have a changed life!

How can I have a changed life? Man is looking all around for the answer to the emptiness that he feels inside. Mankind tries to fill that void and find that elusive new life, yet nothing will ever fit in that void except Jesus. Without Jesus we are out of touch with our creator, sin has left that void. But today that void can be filled in your life, and a new wonderful life can be yours.

THE CONDITION OF MAN

Proverbs 14:12- “There is a way that seems right to a man, But the end is the way of death.” All of man’s ideas seem so good, yet none are able to change the condition in man’s heart called SIN.

Romans 3:23- “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Every person when compared to God’s goodness comes up short.

Romans 6:23- “For the wages of sin is death…” Sin may be fun for awhile but there is a heavy price tag in the end.

GOD OFFERS MAN ANOTHER CHOICE

Romans 6:23- “…but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

John 3:16- “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

JESUS THE ONLY CHOICE

John 14:6- “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Hebrew 9:27- “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.”

It’s only through Christ’s sacrifice that we can stand before a holy God on this judgment day. Connected to our decision to receive Christ are all the promises of the Bible. Promises of forgiveness, peace, guidance, love, purpose, healing and blessing.

HOW DO I GET SAVED?

He is calling you.

Revelations 3:20- “Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me.” Jesus is waiting for you to open the door of your heart and right now He’ll come in your life.

Repent.

1 John 1:9- “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Confess And Believe.

Romans 10:9,10,13- “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

What To Pray?

You can ask Jesus into your heart right now by a simple prayer like this: “Dear Jesus I admit that I am a sinner and I come to you right now believing you love me and died for my sins. I believe you are the Son of God and that you rose from the dead after you were crucified. Forgive me and make me clean before you. I repent of my sins choosing to live for you. I confess you as Lord and I receive the new life you are giving to me right now. I pray this in your precious name Lord Jesus.

WHAT NEXT?

You have started a new life that will be filled with God’s blessings, but you need to know that you have enemies of this new life. There is a real devil and he would like to pull you back into sin and your old way of living. There is also a part of you called the “flesh” that loves sin and will try to regain control of your life. There are some things that you need to do to and know to become stronger in this new life you’ve just received.

Trust

Jesus said he would accept you and you must believe that He has. The devil will try to get you to doubt this, even your own feelings will cause you to doubt. Trust God’s word!

Change

Jesus told the prostitute to go and sin no more. Paul told the Romans to regard themselves as dead to sin and to not let sin rule their lives. Christ will give you strength as you actively seek to change old sinful actions.

Fellowship

the disciples were changed by Jesus call to come follow Him. During their times together they learned from the Lord. Jesus says that where 2 or 3 are gathered in His name He is there among them. Being around other Christians will encourage and strengthen you as you receive valuable instruction from the word of God.

Witness

Tell others about what Jesus has done for you. They are looking for what you now have. You don’t have to wait until you know more, that’s a mistake. Simply share: All have sinned; Sin brings death; Jesus loves you and died for you; New life to all who will believe and receives.

Pray

This can be done in everyday language. You can do this confidently since you are now a child of God.

Read Your Bible

2 Tim. 3:16,17- “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Seek the Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Acts 1:8- “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

You are now started on a wonderful journey to heaven in the Christian Life. Begin reading your Bible in the gospel of John as this covers the miracles of Christ, and much instruction for this new life. God’s blessings on you as you continue to grow in Christ.
